Nachoooooooooooooooo

So, I am going to be totally lame and take a nacho quote and (attempt :-P) a blog about it lol. I just find it so true, how we can so easily come to God with our troubles and ask why He has graced us with a talent, ability, or what not. Then the first thing we think of is perhaps we have used this gift wrong or perhaps we ruined His grace with our sinfulness and selfishness. I know I do this a lot in my life. I am always so quick to assume that it’s my fault or that I have ruined something so precious.
We cannot put so much blame on ourselves. God fully knows that we are not going to be perfect as soon as we are saved. Therefore, we are just wasting energy and time feeling sorry for ourselves for ruining His gifts. Instead we should devote that energy to realizing our gifts and how to use them correctly or fixing our mistakes.
And most of the time this is true, we are not perfect so we do ruin or mess up gifts that God graces us with. That doesn’t mean we have completely failed. God is so wonderful and He meets us where we are at. He sees that we perhaps did not do exactly what He had in plan for us but He runs with it and says “Ok, here’s where we are at with this lets fix this”. We don’t necessarily need to crumble all our dreams into a ball and throw them away. We need to come to God with our “ball” of dreams and ask Him “What now? Where do I go from here?” while completely trusting in Him. I believe that if we are earnestly seeking after Him then our end result will be aligned closely with His will, it may not be exactly what we were hoping or dreaming but Gods will is so much better than our fantasies. That doesn’t mean we won’t continue to mess up along the way. We will we are only human after all. If we were like Jesus already we would not have or need a desire to be like Him. In fact, our entire belief would be pointless and we wouldn’t need God. That’s where the truth comes in that we do need God because we aren’t perfect.
I’m sure most of you know how Nacho ends but he does find a purpose for his gift (although it may not seem great to outsiders, but our gifts are ALWAYS seen great to God--just think of him as a father who is putting your first grade drawing of your stick figure family on the refrigerator. He sees it as a work of art when others see it as a few stick figures and a house) and in the end he defeats Ramses… and gets the girl of course lol.
